How the design is made

  • Portrait 3:4 on the Old-world map tree artwork
  • Names only, on square cartouche cards
  • Ancestors of both partners, top to bottom with elbow lines
  • Cinzel title and names, EB Garamond subtitle

Your tree takes the artwork, the cards, the fonts, the colours and the lines. The people, the photos and the texts on the page stay your own.

This template tells where a family comes from. We made it with a couple at the trunk, both sets of parents above them and all eight grandparents at the top of an old-world map with coastlines and sailing ships. Names stand on square parchment cartouches, so the tree needs no photos.

It makes a fine wedding or anniversary gift, and a good start for anyone who is just beginning to trace their roots: fill in the names you know and add the rest later.
